Looks like the dirt was used like insulation to preserve it after 50+ yrs. Wow awesome. My neighbor back in 1970s had one and it was the first time I saw one like it. Early 70s...they definitely used great metal that would last for many years.

too much weight.. the Tusk Rackless X2 is way less weight than those panniers you are trying to make a dual sport bike into an adv bike,, 60lbs is too much weight for me.. The rackless X2 is much lighter!!

dot knobbies are a game changer.. panniers are too big.. ya 14t is the way to go.. headlight upgrade...ax those oem blinkers for led. lith battery relocate. but you added the pannier rack system... too heavy for me..
